We can use yoga to challenge ourselves, we can use it to improve our well-being, and oh, so much more!

I teach many different styles of yoga: vinyasa flow, power yoga, multi-level hatha, slow flow, gentle, chair, yin, restorative, prenatal, Thai, somatic, seniors, chair yoga, meditation/mindfulness, and yoga with weights. All of my classes include yoga postures, breathing techniques, connecting mind/body/breath, meditation, appropriate alignment, current scientific-supported integration of East/West philosophy, and traditional yoga philosophy, with a dose of fun and laughter. Public classes and private sessions may also include the use of essential oils, sound (music, chanting), light, and specific themes.

RYT200 Yoga Teacher Training

We are an affiliate licensee of White Crow Yoga, licensed by OBPVS, and a Yoga Alliance (YA) approved school (RYS200). In our yoga teacher training, you will learn to teach a variety of types of yoga: multi-level hatha (for all levels & abilities), vinyasa flow, chair yoga, gentle, restorative,  prenatal, alignment-oriented yoga, fitness yoga, spiritually-oriented yoga,  and specialty yoga (may include, but not limited to yin, partner, kids, etc.). You will also learn anatomy, how to safely assist & adjust students, how to prevent injuries, how to sequence poses, how to create & use class themes; you will study the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, the 8 Limbs of Yoga, the 4 Paths/Schools of Yoga, the language of yoga (sanskrit), and the business of yoga. You will participate in many hands-on activities, view several videos/DVDs, teach in partners, teach the master class, do research, and integrate many of the "pieces" listed above each weekend. You will NOT be sitting and listening to lectures for hours on end! Our training is designed to be fun and educational with a low level of stress.
